Your sunset adventure will start and finish at world famous Cicerello's at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour. Enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival and complimentary antipasto as you settle in with your loved one or friends for the next two hours. Keep an eye out for pods of dolphins or humpback whales on their southern migration (Sept-Nov).

Our luxuriously appointed sailing catamaran is a blue-water vessel known for her stable ride and expansive deck space, nearly twice the width of a single-hull vessel. Guests numbers on the sunset sail are capped at 24. BYO is also permitted at no charge, so there are no extra costs to worry about on the night. The ideal gift or date night!  Price includes GST plus all booking and credit card fees (5%).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Age guide:  Sailing at dusk is generally an adult environment.  The recommended age is 15 and up.

• There will be others on the boat with you. Capella is surveyed for up to 40 including crew however this tour runs with only 24 for guest comfort.  On rare occasions, this may be slightly higher. 

• Maximum single booking size is 8 people.  For groups of 9 or more, please contact us to arrange a private charter. 

• Tour requires minimum numbers to proceed.  If this is not reached you will be rescheduled onto your next preferred date. If we are unable to accommodate you on another date, we will provide you with a refund.

• You are welcome to take part in the sailing, raising, lowering and trimming of the sails and taking the helm - please let our crew know you'd love to join in!

• Casual, comfortable clothing is recommended. Bare feet on deck is preferred otherwise please only wear white, flat soled shoes please. No heels. It is also advisable to bring a warm and/or windproof jacket for when the sun goes down.

• Departs from Cicerello's Landing - 44 Mews Rd, Fishing Boat Harbour Fremantle.  Please allow extra time to find a park especially on weekends, and ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour.  We cannot hold up the other guests if you are late. We cannot reschedule you if you fail to arrive on time.

• Tour requires the use of steps and steady feet to move around the vessel whilst underway. Please contact us if you are unsure whether this tour is suitable for you. Expectant guests in the third trimester are advised to contact us prior to booking.

• Smoking onboard and the use of drones are prohibited.   

• Antipasto platter is shared among the group and includes a mix of meat, vegetable and dairy based nibbles. It generally caters to most, however you are most welcome to BYO additional food also.

• If you are prone to seasickness we recommend discussing with a pharmacists before booking.

• BYO: There is no corkage fee, however drinks must be packaged / store bought (not home mix) and standard strength. Bottles of spirits are prohibited. Alcohol is to be consumed responsibly. There is no bar onboard.

WEATHER

• Sailing is an outdoor adventure activity. Exposure to the elements should be expected. We do not cancel due to rain, clouds or strong winds. Perfect weather conditions are never guaranteed.
• Visibility of the sun at any given time is determined by external weather factors and is never guaranteed.
  

• Direction of sail is based on weather conditions on the day. This may be on the ocean or in the River around Fremantle/Harbor.

• At the skippers sole discretion only, we reserve our right to cancel at any time if conditions require it, for safety reasons. This decision will often be in the final hours before departure after ocean conditions can be assessed and a more accurate prediction formed.

• We are unable to take responsibility for other plans you may have made around this booking (e.g. accommodation) which is knowingly subject to weather.  We retain our right to operate under our own terms and conditions at all times.

If the easterly is up no worries!  The western side of Carnac is an absolute delight with high limestone cliffs plunging into the water and a truly spectacular anchorage perfect for paddling the kayaks around. Bottlenose Dolphins are also very common in the area and with a shallow bottom and no noisy motors, Capella is able to get in close to shore.

Morning tea is provided complimentary as part of this experience.  It typically includes a range of sweet and savory items that appeals to most tastes (e.g. fruit, cakes, pastries, coffee/teas), however if you have specific requirements you are welcome to bring your own. We try to be as broad as possible but are unable to cater to individual needs.  If you have serious allergies that our crew need to be aware of whilst preparing food, please advise us during the booking process.  We are unable to guarantee traces of allergens, specially seafood or crustaceans, being an ocean based experience. 

You are invited to travel some 11 nautical miles (20km) off the Fremantle coast to the unique and stunning marine park surrounding Rottnest Island.

This full-day Rottnest Island tour isn't your average island hop; it's an exclusive full day sailing experience offering a unique perspective of the island's natural beauty.  

Immerse yourself in turquoise waters as you explore coral reefs teeming with marine life, thanks to warm Leuwinn Current that hugs Rottnest Island as it passes by.  Keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins or curious sea lions!*  Test your paddling skills on the kayaks, ride on the huge cargo net, or simply kick back and relax on the spacious trampolines up front as you soak in all that fresh ocean air.

To complete your memorable day, get ready to feel the spray of the ocean as we raise the sails for our return journey, powered by the famous "Freo Doctor."  

This small group tour, limited to 24 guests, ensures a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for lifelong memories to be made and new friendships formed. CHILDREN

Although we try to be as inclusive at possible, this particular tour is recommended for ages 5 and up. This is due to the distance required to travel (18km) across open water which takes approx 1.5-2 hours depending on conditions. The journey can be very long for smaller children and may in certain situations pose a safety risk. For children under 5 we recommend the shorter SNORKEL & SAIL tour option which departs directly from the Island.

For children aged 5 and up, for life jacket provisioning, please advise your child's age(s) when making a booking. Children under 10 may be asked to wear a life jacket at all times.

Your vessel is a 12.5m luxury Schionning Cosmos sailing catamaran, purpose built for chartering with 360 degree views inside and out.  Designed with the comfort and safety of guests in mind, Capella boasts a comfortable indoor lounge as well as outdoor seating for up to 24 on this tour. 

A glass of sparkling on arrival and shared antipasto during is provided during your sunset sailing experience. Guests can also BYO additional drinks, so there's no extra costs to worry about.

Our cargo net is awaiting for any takers on those hot balmy nights – imagine your very own salt water spa as we sail along into the sunset with only the sounds of the breeze between the sails - bliss!

Experience the magic of Rottnest Island by luxury sailing catamaran!  Sail the island’s stunning coastline and dive into an underwater paradise, full snorkel gear included.  Enjoy all the comfort and luxuries that being on a sailing catamaran provide, including plenty of bow space to lounge on, water toys and a huge cargo net.

Anchored at one of the island’s best snorkel spots, be guided by our onboard guide(s) as you navigate over coral reefs and sea meadows. Rottnest boasts over 120 different species of tropical fish that you won’t see near the mainland.  Be on the lookout for dolphins, stingrays and the playful Australian sea lion (note: sightings cannot be guaranteed). After your swim, climb back onboard and warm up with a hot tea/coffee along with a light snack of seasonal fruit, before we lift anchor and raise the sails (wind permitting!).

A swimming waiver is required to be signed by all participants before entering the water. To participate in water-based activities, you must be of moderate swimming ability. A good guide is a minimum 200m and in depths of 2-4m, independently. Please contact us if you are unsure.

DEPARTURE

• Departs from Thomsons Bay, Rottnest Island.  
  
• If you are travelling by ferry for the day, please ensure your ferry arrives at least 30 minutes prior to this tour and allow 30 minutes at the end of this tour for ferry departure time. 
• Departure time will be sent to you on your booking confirmation. This is when the vessel is scheduled to depart, you must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to this time for boarding as late arrivals or no shows will lead to ticket forfeiture. 
• Depoarture times may be subject to change for weather or operational reasons, e.g. to allow wind speed to reduce. Typically by not more than +/-30 minutes. If this occurs we will notify you with as much notice as practicable buy SMS.  We recommend having flexibility in your schedule when making a ferry booking. 

CHILDREN

• Children aged 1-3: please contact us us prior to booking.
• Children aged 4-12 require a Child Ticket. Please advise the ages of all children <12 when placing the booking, to ensure adequate life jacket provisioning on the day.
• Children must be supervised at all times and must not be left alone on the vessel at any time.
• Snorkelers must be aged 8 and over to partake in the guided trail component of the tour, but may otherwise snorkel nearby as long as accompanied by a parent.
